This book was quite an intriguing ride! Picture Phantom of the Opera vibes mixed with some rather... ahem... “engaging” gargoyles—what's not to love? From the get-go, I was hooked, unable to tear myself away from the pages. It was refreshing to see a protagonist who rolls with the punches instead of constantly fighting the inevitable. She's an avid monster romance reader and actually this felt like a dream come true for her, and I was all in!

Now, let's talk about the Gargoyles—oh, they were something else! Dominant, possessive, yet surprisingly reasonable when the situation called for it. Amidst dealing with jealous co-stars, grappling with newfound fame, facing off against a menacing monster rival, and breaking a pesky curse, they certainly have their work cut out for them before they can reach their happily ever after.

However, if I may offer a bit of constructive feedback, I felt like the story dragged on a tad longer than necessary, given the whirlwind of events. I wished for more complexity and suspense in the Callum subplot. And speaking of things moving quickly, I couldn't help but feel that certain... ahem... intimate sessions were a bit rushed. A 12-hour marathon and barely a glimpse? Come on now!
Additionally, I found myself yearning for more descriptive writing, especially when it came to the beautifully rebuilt opera house setting. After all, immersing ourselves in the surroundings is half the fun of diving into a story, isn't it? And let's not forget about Christine's experiences beyond her romantic entanglements—there's bound to be drama aplenty in her overnight rise to fame.

In summary, while I thoroughly enjoyed Christine and her gargoyle companions' escapades, I couldn't help but crave a more well-rounded narrative. 3.75 stars, but it was a joy to read!

The moment I saw the title I already wondered if this was gonna have something to do with the Phantom of the Opera, the musical with the most wonderful music ever. The moment I read the synopsis I was therefore sold. Especially because I have a weak spot for stories featuring opera singers. It's not the kind of profession that is seen as cool or interesting. I was therefore quite happy that I got an arc for this one!

I have to admit that the book and I weren't the best match. Don't get me wrong. Sinclair is an amazing author. She is great at bringing the emotions across and all those feelings and fear and love almost jump from the page. I just personally wish that there had been just a little more plot and maybe a few less sex scenes. And that's totally a personal preference, because I know more than enough people who prefer their books like this and that's totally fine.

However, I do have to admit that the Phantom of the Opera has a thin plot to begin with, even the original story. This book absolutely does justice to the original tale and keeps all the elements making that story the epic story it is nowadays. Although in this case we don't have just one charming and mysterious secret inhabitant of the opera. We have three. I did really love the names Sinclair picked for them, by the way!

And although I would have loved to have had a little more plot and a little more background for the male characters, I really really loved this version of Christine. In a way the story stays completely true to her journey in the original story and yet it makes the story more modern. And I really loved how what seems to be everyone's dream is quickly becoming not so much of a dream for our Christine. The author did a great job portraying the downside of sudden fame.

When I say I devoured it, I devoured it and wanted more! Everyone knows the Phantom of the Opera is my favorite tale, musical, trope, and characters. Follow Christine Daniels who promised one month, one opera, and her chance to make her career soar. But maybe the old Paris opera house has some ghosts and echoes of the past. But what if those ghosts were stones. What if the voices were Gargoyles? Now Christine is in a world like no other filled with dangers, wings, and fangs. But three gorgeous god like gargoyles are too bad in the mix right?

I wanted soo much more in this world. But I think that this has undoubtedly is becoming a comfort read. I laughed, my heart ached, I fanned myself. This was everything for me. The tenderness and adoration from these men! The story and the plot were beautifully done. I wanted more damn it. But I can’t wait to get this on my shelf…. Once the book buying ban is over.

The Point of No Return was interesting. Definitely got some Phantom of the Opera vibes from it. I also liked the nice twist of Gargoyle reverse harem as well. I just... I don't know. It's hard to explain but the pacing felt off to me.

Not only that but the drama was kind of pointless. Yeah, Christine, is in an opera and there's one girl who doesn't like that she lost the part to her. The only thing she does it send information to tabloids though. Like that was her trying to get even with Christine. It just seemed weird and kind of dumb in my mind but maybe it makes sense to the Opera life? Not sure.

Then there's the romance. I liked it, I guess. I'm honestly still not completely sure how I felt about this little harem of hers. They had some pros and cons to it throughout the whole book. I am actually happy that they did figure out a way to break the weird curse on them. Even though I figured it out pretty early on.

In the end, it was an interesting book that had potential to be a bit better in my eyes.
