A fun read and my biggest issue throughout the whole book was the lack of stakes. Or I guess poorly constructed stakes. A tech billionaire trying to fix his image on a realty dating show? Girl have you met anyone who’s worked in tech? Or the fact they couldn’t be together because of the show and like the thought that they’d be married forever…it’s a dating show it’s fake who cares. And obviously Dev had ideas in his head about it but like idk it just didn’t compel me. Also another victim of the time jump in the last 20 pages. But! All that being said really enjoyable dynamic and characters and I finished in an afternoon

The characters are sweet and the story has good bones, even though it’s pretty formulaic. I just tired of how repetitive the book got and how single-note some of the characters are.

This was such a cute, fluffy book. I loved the ending!
If only we could have gay The Bachelor in real life.

Why hasn't The Bachelor done a queer series? I mean, obviously I know why. I maintain my point.

I feel like this story was overall unmemorable. Granted, I kept comparing it to One to Watch, which I love with all my heart and soul and devoured in one sitting, and those are some big shoes to fill. The writing was meh - most of the quotes that I marked were funny instead of hit-you-in-the-gut - which is in vein with the other Cochrun books I've read. I feel like Charlie has some other issues aside from the OCD and anxiety that were alluded to but brushed off. Dev was annoying, as much as I loved his active portrayal of a depressive episode.
