4.15 AVERAGE

Welp, I thought I might hate this. I should have probably hated, but this was so weird and reminded of Imaginary Friend with a dose of creepy NOS4A2. It made no sense. It was gross. It’s truly what nightmares are made of. And I really actually liked it. I’m giving this apple-obsessed book 4.13 stars. 4 for being insane and original and .13 bonus stars for hating on the red delicious apple which is trash.

I loved this so much omg

An atmospheric horror novel perfect for fall. Harkens back a bit to the vibe of Stephen King’s Needful Things.

Wendig's a decent writer and this is a clever premise but a good 30% of this book could have been edited out and not missed at all.
