This was a pretty good book that had a lot of information about sexual addiction and betrayal, trauma. Unfortunately, this had rather dated information and came out of the codependency model, rather than the betrayal, trauma model, which can be very unhelpful, and even damaging to women on their healing journey. I’m glad I read it, because chapter 11 was particularly strong in the authors understanding of herself as beloved, and a beautiful creation of God, and used the story of Nehemiah to talk about rebuilding. that chapter bumped the book from a three star to a four star read for me.  I think there are much better trauma informed books that would be more helpful to women healing from betrayal.
