This book literally had me smiling and laughing and feeling all the emotions I love everything about it it has all my favorite things in romance books and I’m literally obsessed christina lauren does it again!
I HATE the miscommunication trope but I LOVE enemies to lovers and a geeky little guy who is so clearly smitten while the pessimistic woman is convinced he hates her so slay I guess

I’m just going to say this: GRAND GESTURES FOR THE WIN.
This was a happy, light, cute, and easy romance. And it was not only about them not standing each other and going to a vacation together. This was also about how on said vacation they had to act like newlyweds, like they were in love. Kind of like the movie Just Go With It.
This was cute, if a little naive. I think it was great, I didn’t get bored or anything but it was a mistake to target this to the new-adult audience. And to make these people 30 years old when they acted like 22 years old. Nothing wrong with this, but I was expecting a little more.
The banter and the fighting was great and it kept me hooked. The subplot of Dane not being the perfect husband Ami thought he was gave the story a nice twist.
