I like this book because it is inspiring and you watch the charters grow in the book. You also watch them go into the Otherworld, go to the Naga realm, and many other places. Aru and her friends have to defeat the heartless before they corrupt the world under a mysterious some ones control. They have to save the devas before the Nectar of Immortality is taken.
Moderate: Death and Domestic abuse

I enjoyed this 2nd installment in the series much more than the 1st book. I think the characters were more developed and I enjoyed their interactions with each other. Overall a fun adventurous story with good representation of different social identities! An enjoyable light read. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Minor: Death, Violence, Bullying, and Abandonment

Another delightful installment in this series. Chokshi keeps both the plot and the larger story-arc moving nicely, and the characters continue to be wonderful traveling companions for any reader. And I absolutely love how Aru questions the black-and-white morality in the way the stories have been told to her and learning that sometimes being the "hero" means doing terrible things.
Graphic: Fire/Fire injury
Moderate: Death

Just as fun and engaging as the first!
This is the second installment in the Pandava Quartet (now a Quintet I believe) and I loved it a lot. I'm not going to go into too much detail since it's the second book in a series, but like the Percy Jackson series, and all of the Rick Riordan and Rick Riordan Presents books, this is another installment in the HIndu Mythology series following Aru and those around her.
This book has Aru, Mini and some new characters going on another quest to retrieve a stolen bow and arrow as well as find and destroy the thief in the process, but things are rarely so simple...
I enjoyed the writing, plot and world as much as the first one and I loved getting to know the characters more and see the dynamics change and grow (and for new ones to form). Mini and Aiden are my absolute favorites, and Aiden and Aru's dynamic is excellent.
I really enjoyed this and I can't wait to read the next installment!
