Well, that was abrupt. I really thought that we would get a bit more development for the protagonist. Sloane's life and attitude kind of suck (Ya know what, pun intended!) to begin with.  We get a major shift or problem (perhaps the climactic event) that should have been the catalyst for some sort of character development, but nothing really too different. Maybe a sequel is in the works???

This, much like Such Sharp Teeth, is really the story about a women, whose life isn't going exactly how she wants it to, and through all of the personal mess of just being a person, also gets turned into a monster.

This is a character driver book, much like the others. No crazy plot to follow, we just follow out main character as she decides what the next step of her new life is going to look like.

I really enjoyed this story. I love how Rachel Harrison writes, its easy to read and I just always connect with it so easily. I love reading a book with an older (late 30s) main character, and still doesn't have their life figured out.

I enjoyed her internal conflict and the journey she went on, especially with a childhood best friend. Really the only place this fell flat for me, was I did have a huge emotional connection to those characters when something happened to them, and I would have just liked a little bit more in the end.

Still a great ride and I can't wait to pick up my next one of hers

I love Rachel Harrison books. They just feel like a warm cup of tea on a crisp October night.
So Thirsty did not disappoint. A fun tale about two 30-something best friends finding themselves in a pretty unlikely way.
The characters were at times extremely annoying but I somehow always loved them. There wasn't much plot to he had here but the writing was so fast-paced and engaging I hardly cared to be honest.
