I love a good vampire book, don’t get me wrong. However, the MC was annoying most of the time with the “woe is me” trope. While yes, she did get past that, it took way too long. Naomi was incredibly annoying with her lack of accountability as well. I feel like the short and rush ending didn’t allow for much character development for either characters. Although it did happen, it was just so rushed. I wish the epilogue was a bit longer, but overall it was a fun story and I enjoyed listening to it on audio.

I almost bailed on this one because I found the middle of the book tension between friends difficult, but I'm glad I stuck with it as I enjoyed the ending.
