Sloane and Naomi’s relationship is so special to me. It’s resentment and it’s love and it’s so enticing to read their relationship when Sloane would do anything for Naomi but she blames her for what happened to them. I wish this book was longer or their forgiveness arc started earlier maybe?

Ilie is so funny idk if it was just the way I was reading his lines in my head but his characterization was so good. Most of the side characters I really enjoyed and thought they were fleshed out well. The conversations they had sounded realistic to me, i really liked a lot of the interactions in this book.

I can see why some people probably wouldn’t like Henry and Sloane’s relationship but honestly im a sucker for vampire romance even if said vampire is a weirdo about it. I enjoyed their moments together and thought they were cute!

I think the ending of this book was kind of abrupt and confusing? Again, i wish it would’ve been a bit longer to tie everything together instead of leaving me wondering what the hell just happened. Something else that added to my negative thoughts on this book was that sometimes it felt like the characters would make a random decision for the plot? I mean Sloane was pretty in favor of the blood bank heists compared to killing people but then she suddenly wanted to stop them from doing a heist? I also still don’t really understand why her and Naomi stayed behind at the end, and the short ending right before the epilogue just left me being like.. oh ok
