3.5 ⭐️ I enjoyed this ode to female friendship and empowerment. Sloane leads a life in which she allows herself to be drained, what will she make of her own thirst? I can’t say that much about this story will stick with me, but it was perfect for spooky szn. The audio was impressive! MM

I like Rachel Harrison, her brand of horror is so nice for a comforting, relaxing afternoon. Nothing too complicated, nothing too scary. Quick and easy reads. Too many people think that’s a bad thing, but it’s actually wonderful! Like watching your favorite comfort movie. This one is so tame I don’t even think it counts as horror. But, I enjoyed it nonetheless and finished it in one sitting. If you want a book you can knock out in two hours or less, this is the one!

Hmmm, disappointed by this book. I was in the mood for a vampire story but this just didn’t hit. At no point did I vibe with the FMC or her best friend - both were annoying and I didn’t find them relatable. Felt very meh and wasn’t a fan of the unknowns the ending left me with.
