So I mostly read this book because I wanted to watch the movie, and I have heard nothing bad abut it. And I liked it a lot. Though I hate how Kody adding politics to it. I don't believe they have a place in young adult. and to top it off I am a proud Republican. But with that said I did love this story. and Already telling my friend she has to read it.
And I plan to read her other books as well.

OMG! This was soooo good and in a way, a lesson. Both characters were real to me and that what made this story believible to me. i even cried at some point in the story. and my heart is still pounding after the read, so this was, most defenitly, a fantastic read.

I LOVED the Duff, Bianca's character was funny and sarcastic that she was so easy to connect with and I liked the relationship with Wesley. There isn't a lot I can say about this book except that I absolutely loved it and flew through it, it was quick and easy to read.

This ate. Idc. Bianca and Wesley had a lot of chemistry. The part where she tells him he’s never the DUFF because he doesn’t have friends and he just goes “Oh. Right” made me laugh out loud. I thought I would hate the fact that he called her the DUFF and then proceeded to get into a relationship with her, but I think the book made it clear that he is just an idiot,
plus he actually apologized (something that does not happen often in romance books).
Plus, I think they were both fairly evil to each other, so it’s probs even. Anyway, I think they were very cute together. I lowkey love Wesley. And I think the book came to some very enlightened conclusions when it comes to slut shaming and the labels put onto girls. Bianca is also very funny. And the parts regarding female friendship were very cute. I just wish the book was longer tbh.  Why do we never get to see the couple with their happy ever after?

{My Thoughts} – I found this book to be extremely easy to relate to. I am almost certain that my High School self would have been able to relate even more, given what my High School experience had been like when I had attended. I can understand how this book has become so incredibly popular.

Bianca is your typical not real liked girl when it comes to the popular peers in school. She has two best friends that she believes are both much more sexy and attractive then she herself is. She has a snappy, snarky attitude that makes you fall in love with her instantly. She also is an extremely loyal individual to her family and her friends. She doesn’t believe in telling gossip on anyone nor does she believe in running after guys and falling in love.

Wesley is the popular man-whore in the school. He doesn’t chase girls, they chase him. When he so avidly points out that Bianca is the Duff in her group of friends, he changes they way she sees things. It is apparent that he hadn’t really meant to hurt her by using that word, but it did hurt her a lot and it takes a lot for him to come back from it after it’s been said and done so many times. He seems to think that everyone wants him, which is true to an extent, but he has so many hidden secrets that it’s hard to tell who he really is on the inside because he like Bianca hides behind a mask.

Wesley and Bianca come off as complete opposites. However, throughout the book they seem to find common ground and a common balance. One day they are paired up for a school assignment and everything changes for the two of them. Is it for the better or for the worse?

Smířila jsem se s tím, že jsem asi nenáročný čtenář. Ale copak tomu můžu dát horší hodnocení, když je to vtipné, cynické, sprosté a hrozně dobře se to čte? ;)

An awesome read! I love Bianca, she is such a diverse, interesting and real character. I had some issues with Wesley but in the end I was kind of smitten with him, too. :D

This book was good but nothing to exciting happens. Sadly I enjoyed the movie a lot more then the book, which doesn’t happen often. I likely will never pick up this book again because it’s not memorable. However the message it was trying to send was good and the story was ok. I just feel as though they could have done more with it then they did.
