I had a lot of fun reading this. It's very meta in a way that was engaging and put me in the mindset of like Clue the movie in a weird way. It does a great job of grabbing you right away and introducing our cast of characters in a way that is natural and engaging. The plot took some turns that I wasn't expected and honestly got a little heavier than I thought it would. Some of the plot points didn't work as well for me and things do get really crazy at the end in way that kind of lost me.

Wow, I can already tell this is going to be one of my top books this year. Despite starting the book by saying what’s going to happen, the author still managed to surprise me with his clever twists and turns. This is a modern Agatha Christie mixed with heartfelt reflective moments and brimming with humor. I look forward to the author’s next work. 

about halfway through I knew this book would be a 5-star for me. Unfortunately, by the end I lowered my feelings for it. I didn’t love who the author chose as a murderer. While it was creative, I felt it took away from the chapter that explained his death and ultimately from the character development of his mother and her grief. I also felt it was unnecessary for the main character to end up with the love interest. While it was nice he had his happy ending and moved on, it felt like a random pairing. Also, Erin fell to the background after being heavily involved.
