Excellent Nordic mystery. Intriguing and compelling characters go a long way here.

Well paced, interesting plot and characters. There are some unnecessary digressions and the ending is not 100% satisfying

Very interesting crime novel set in Copenhagen! Lots of interwoven stories that are fascinating on their own. When woven together, they create a compelling climax to the narrative. Liked it!

Dark mystery that starts with a missing teenager, and goes so many other directions. Lots of dark characters, sparing none - not even  the police. The police detectives are so very human in the ways they are portrayed. The other characters in this were especially creepy. Greedy executives and desperate artists.

3.5 rounded up. At some point there was a bit too much going on, but it all worked out.
I like the characters and the series.

I received a copy of this book in a Goodreads Giveaway and really enjoyed it. I had visited Copenhagen, where the story takes place, and it was fun to visualize where different scenes were. The story begins with a missing boy. We meet many characters, some who are obviously involved, while for others, we wonder why they are being introduced. But after many twists and turns and false starts, we understand the role that each plays in solving the case. Characters are strong. I enjoyed the side stories, the personal lives of the detectives involved, in addition to the main storyline. I recommend this book!

A murder mystery set in Copenhagen - lots of red herrings and plot twists which made the conclusion seem anticlimactic.
