This book gave me a lot of food for thought.

I love theatre. I love music. I love performance. There are times I have never felt happier than to be singing in front of an audience: admittedly, I enjoy the attention.

And yet when it comes to presentations, being in a room full of people, spending extended amounts of time away from home, I can become very anxious. I find that I need to have a time in the evening when I am at home with a book/watching tv/listening to music/preparing to go to bed. I can become miserable on a night out very quickly. This book, if nothing else, gave me the sense that I am not alone in sometimes feeling this way.

A thought-provoking read for anyone who is socially anxious or finds that they need a bit of downtime from excessive socialisation.

I'm more introverted than people (including me) think I am.
