Incredible book, both for raising kids and for the reader! Will be revisiting this again and again as my kids grow.

There is not a ton of Christian homeschool propaganda you normally see with homeschool literature. I was soooo nervous about that especially with a cute anecdote told in the first chapter or so, but besides being super white coded, it was pretty good! I unfortunately don’t think the people who need to read this would, for aforementioned reasons, but there you go.
This definitely left me w a more positive view of the author than I had before.

This is a book that should be required reading. I would be curious about a community who collectively did this well.

This is ok. I much prefer “Coddling the American Mind”.

Long story short: It will take a lot of work to both reparent ourselves and parent our children as critical thinkers, but it will be so worth it. Bogart includes a lot of activities to help along the way, most of which are divided up according to the age groups they are appropriate for. This is definitely the type of book I can see myself revisiting over and over again as my kids grow.
