• I just didn’t like the characters all that well so it really felt like it was dragging to me 
• But I do appreciate the attempt at tackling anti fat bias, and the abortion plot line was unexpected but I liked it

This may be my first Jennifer Weiner book but it won’t be my last. I loved all the difficult topics she tackled in this book. I loved the body positivity she tried to push as the overall theme. I’ve always been the biggest girl in my friend group. Always the one trying to lose weight. Always trying to look like someone else - just thinner so this book hit home a lot. The teenage pregnancy and access to planned parenthood was also a good storyline.
The Breakaway Tour made me so interested in biking that I started googling bike tours around the south.
