As always, a fluffily gruesome and terrifically entertaining detective story with two very likeable principals. I don’t begrudge it its length, but I do wish the author would refrain from clunkily and pointlessly transliterating her characters’ accents. It makes long stretches of dialogue nearly unreadable and is quite classist. For that, and the judgmental attitude to characters’ appearance, I’d like to deduct half a point, but as I invariably enjoy the books in this series, I’ll go for 4 stars.

Although very long, this held my interest throughout and is my favorite in the series so far.

Loved this one. Super intense as Robin joins a cult undercover. My heart was pounding during a lot of that! And one biggish cliffhanger for the next one. I always listen to these books because they’re just so long but I love the narrator.

Seemingly well researched picture of a cult and how people get sucked in

This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved it. There was a dip in the first quarter where it seemed it might be boring, but it picked WAY up and didn't let me go until the end. I've enjoyed all of the books in this series, but this one is my favorite.
