A Classic it is. An absolutely boring and tiring classic, yes that’s what it is. Maybe an unpopular opinion but I just don’t understand what this book had to offer, not even a great story. Just reading a few sentences will literally make you fall right asleep. The riding is maybe complex and “intelligent”, but I just found it really tough to get trough, many of the passages are really uninteresting and written in such a “uncatchy” way. Not that every book need to be a page turner but this really didn’t work for me. The Oliver Twist character basically doesn’t exist, he has about 6 lines in the entire book and you never really get to now him at all other then he is this “sweet perfect child” okey but why? The ending was a bit better then the rest of the book because the plot got slightly more interesting. The characters where basic and mostly annoying. And to make it all better it ended in kind of a Christianity propaganda. Honestly just not a recommended book, so many other classics are better.

Not my favorite Dickens book, but not too bad either. It definitely has its hilarious moments and its share of interesting characters. And a female character who I can actually like and not feel guilty about. A fairly easy read with some interesting ideas to think about.
