i really don't know my stance on dark romance yet, this was my first book into the genre and i can't tell if this is a heavier dark romance or if this is the standard.

The book was … a wild ride and I LOVED every minute of it. This book was delicious and dark. But it also had me cackling. Jayce is probably the most unhinged, obsessed MMC I’ve read thus far. I was unsure how I would feel about the alternative endings but tbh I loved that additional HEA. Jayce will stick with me for a long time. I loved his character and his internal dialogue. Great read but as always please check those tws.

I wanted to love this book I really did and it’s honestly more of a 2.7 if we’re being fair with the rating however I can’t justify giving 3 stars. I really enjoyed the beginning of the book and was convinced it would be a 4 possibly even 5 stars but the first time he introduces himself as the stalker it started losing me. Now it might just be a preference in the way it was handled that didn’t fully work for me and that’s okay. If you are looking for a stalker romance with an intense obsessed mmc then this is definitely that. It also has many shock factor moment that made my jaw drop and the beginning of the book I truly enjoyed the mmc it felt to me as if his character changed halfway into the book and I suddenly found him almost insufferable. However, I personally do enjoy the alternate endings I think it was an interesting factor that I am not used to and I enjoyed being able to read both.

Jeez I have missed Madilyn’s writing!! It’s been a while since I’ve read anything by her and I’m so glad I picked this beauty up!
It’s sooo dark, by dark I mean PITCH BLACK. One of the darkest I’ve read in a while and I devoured it up! I absolutely love Jayce’s character and his absolute psychotic tendencies, his utter devotion and obsession with Alana is insane in the best possible way.
I love the random bits of comedy in the book, the snarky cheeky moments. Ah I just love it!
The twists and when you find out just HOW obsessed he is with her, he takes touch her and die to the next level😳
My Turn originally has no HEA but Madilyn has wrote a HEA option, I decided to stick with the no HEA and it BROKE my heart! But Jayce & Alicia’s ending made it absolutely perfect!
I absolutely need Alicia’s story, that little girl one of my favourite side characters!!
