Xander and Kaya. A “rich girl” and a boxer.
This one is an emotional roller coaster, but find comfort there’s an HEA!
Also I’m obsessed with slyvanian families now. You’ll see.

Let me start this review by saying this book stresses me the fuck out! All the bits with Kaya & the dark web made me feel so icky and stressed, let alone the angst with Xander & his injuries! I would have given a 4 ⭐️ because of this however I just absolutely loved the two of them together. Xander had me gasping audibly with his smut that man! Anyway I’m sad this series is over I absolutely loved it!!
emotional fast-paced

Yeah. Got bored about halfway through, never really rebounded.

This was my first book by Nicci Harris and it was pretty good. I had a hard time getting into it at first, but as the story progessed, I was more invested.

Kaya was grumpy and just trying to help her family out by any means necessary. Xander was sweet, but he had a lot of childhood trauma. When they met, neither of them were in the best place, but they still had a soul-deep connection.

This story had a lot of emotional and tension-filled moments. There were also funny moments, as well. I liked seeing Xander's brothers come into the story and how they were all there for him when he needed them.

This was the last book in the series, and I enjoyed it. I guess I'll have to go back and read the previous books now!

Oh the Butcher Boys. I have to admit I haven't read all the brothers' stories yet but Xander has to be my favorite. The baby brother of the group and the man who wears his heart on his sleeve. He captured all our hearts just like he captured Kaya's.

Kaya likes being in control to the point where she'll use men, but she'll never let a man use her. But one night, her world comes crashing down and all her control is lost. Her father gets arrested and all her money and belongings are being taken away and she's left with nothing and doesn't know what to do. But in walks Xander Butcher a guy who blew her mind the first time she used him and even more the second time. But he doesn't do relationships so why does he care and keeps coming back?

There's something raw about a person opening up to you and letting you see their emotional side of them. Xander is trying to process his mother's death in the best way he possible can. He held no love for her just like he knew she didn't love him. But he still needs to be the good son and make an appearance at her wake. But when an opportunity arises to escape this hell he takes it, and it leads him right to Kaya who is having one of the worst nights of her life. He is instantly hooked on her and his every thought is being consumed by her. He doesn't date but there's just something about her that is making him willing to try.

Xander is extremely possessive in the hottest way possible. He won't let any harm come Kaya's way and doesn't know what to do when she isn't around. He stood up to his family for her and as soon as they saw his love for her and hers for him, they were on board because they just want to see their baby brother happy. Kaya honestly completes Xander and is his light during his darkest days. When his outlet for the darkness was taken away, Kaya is right there beside him, being his new outlet that he never knew he needed. The Butcher boys are something else! Clay, Max, Bronson, Konnor and now Xander are something made of our dreams. Nicci knew what she was doing when she created this amazing group of men and it's sad to see it end. But all good things must come to an end...right?

I cried so hard 10/10

Nicci, I don’t know where to begin with this one. I’m not shocked by how good it was, that’s putting it mildly, but it’s the way you managed to have Xander shed his persona of just being “the youngest Butcher” or “baby Butcher” and watch him grow until Xander “The Legend” Butcher was phenomenal.

The dynamic between him and Kaya started from something so passive and dismissive until their little romp on the trampoline. The fact that, just through his touch and without using his words, Xander could pull such an emotional response from her. That’s when you knew it was gonna be a wild ride.

I can’t even begin to count the amount of times I full on bawled reading this (to be fair I’m an emotional person by nature so yeah) and not just because of Kaya and Xander, but Bronson shocked the hell outta me when I wasn’t expecting it.

I’m still in denial this is the end for the Butcher clan, but it’s the start of our continued journey in your career. I can’t wait for whatever you’ve got in store next.

Xander will instantly become your new current book boyfriend. I have no idea how Nicci manages to combine some of my least favorite tropes all in one book and still make me starving for more. This emotional rollercoaster was a great end to the series, obviously saving the best brother for last.

I liked this story of love. I was talking to a friend today (she's an aspiring author) and I brought up that most, if not all, I read is romance, and this book is a reason why. This book shares another perspective of love and tells a story of how two people love each other. I love when authors make relationships different and this is a relationship so well written I see what the characters loves mean to each other.
This relationship is messy and dark but they love each other even past their mistakes and with their faults they get mad but discuss and I think it's wonderful.
