Plot: really good
Ending: had sad moments, but in a good way
Synopsis: Kaya knows what she wants from men and that's for her to have a good time while they are left high and dry. When Xander runs into her she's a little frustrated he doesn't remember her, but she doesn't have to worry because he'll remember this time.
My opinion:
Pros: Kaya knew what she wanted and even though that began to change and she might have been wrong from time to time, she had a backbone and didn't back down easily. Xander was patient with her. Not pushing her to be or do anything just because he wanted more. I love the Butcher brothers and how they were there when Xander needed him. They accepted Kaya's place in his life fairly quickly. And I can't forget to mention that Xander calling Kaya, woman was perfect.
Cons: the book felt complete around half way through even though I knew it wasn't the end because there was a storyline unresolved and the actual ending was really good. I didn't enjoy the good boy kink (I guess that's the best way to describe it). Not to yuck anyone's yum, but it wasn't for me. Luckily it didn't happen all that much.

I was very excited to have received an ARC of this book. But then I had to slow down my reading because I truly didn’t want to see the end of the Butcher’s. Xander, sweet Xander, I knew you’d grab a hold of part my heart before I even started reading & that’s exactly what you did & I’m not upset about it. I will forever recommend these books to anyone who will listen.
Side note there’s something about Butcher men & their letters that gut me.

Holy frog (as Xander says)! This book had EVERYTHING. I’m so emotional right now. I sobbed so much in the last half. I honestly did not expect Xander’s book to be so emotional, but I don’t regret reading this book whatsoever. The ending was PERFECT. With all the brothers together…gosh I’m gonna cry again. I’m not ready for this series to end. I need a next gen. The whole Butcher family has a special place in my heart. I love the characters and world Nicci Harris created. I will miss them so much.
Xander and Kaya go through so much together and I’m so proud of how they always still with each other. It’s a very fast-paced whirlwind of a love story. I didn’t expect Xander to be feeling all of this from the other books, so I’m glad we got to see his point of view.

With this being the last in the series i felt this gave me the closure i needed! Everyone was met with a happy ending! Even my Bronson! This book was perfect in every way!
Xander and Kaya were made for each other! That beautiful broken boy found him someone that could hold his broken pieces together and keep him whole! The love they have for each other was poetic and beautiful! I definitely cried about two times! This was a beautiful book and i loved every minute of it!

THIS BOOK!!!! Their Broken Legend is the last book in The Kids of the District series. It is about Xander Butcher the youngest of the Butcher Boys. He was meant to be a lawyer but took on boxing like his father but he has taken too many blows to the head and can't seem to face that he's punch drunk. When he meets Kaya while taking care of some business he can't help but want her. Kaya is the daughter of a wealthy man who is under investigation for fraud and in jail. Kaya is a daddy's girl and thinks that her mother is the weak one all these years similar to Xander and his feelings about his parents. When Xander and Kaya can't stay away from each other no matter how intense or explosive or stubborn either one is they know that they are it for one another until fate has other plans.
Nicci truly has a way of writing deep, powerful, difficult stories and making them beautiful masterpieces. I am almost never emotional over a book but this hits the heart so well where it falls apart just to be put back together in the most beautiful way. I loved this Whole series but this was a great ending where it shows not every ending has to look the same to be great! always check trigger warnings but this book was a 5 out of 5 all around. The spice was intense and sexy, the story is incredible, the character growth was great.
