My favorite thing about this book is how it was written. There are no chapters only scenes. There are natural breaking points but King had the foresight to realize that this story isn't as gripping from just one perspective, but across a multitude of them spanning time. We can live in the moment of a handful of characters, experiencing this paranormal event without any understanding. But also seeing the series of events in hindsight as the world tries to understand the supernatural events of "The Black Prom" over the days and years to come is incredibly interesting!

Carrie is an easy read told in such a unique way that it is definitely worth the read. It's not scary like the zeitgeist would have you believe, but it is thrilling and quite well written. Glad King's wife pulled it out of the trash and made him pursue it.
