I know that I really enjoyed this book, but sadly, I read it so long ago that I can't remember too many details (it probably doesn't help that I read it in practically one sitting during my flight to Hawaii). I found the modern Korean setting to be very fresh and unique, particularly because it incorporated Korean mythology. The romantic elements were at the forefront of the story, and there was some action thrown in there, too. Although I don't watch K-dramas, I see how this would resonate with those same fans. Despite the plot not being very memorable, I do plan to pick up the sequel to see how everything plays out for Miyoung and Jihoon!

I feel like I keep repeating myself, but this was a book unlike anything I have read before. It's based on Korean mythology and the main story takes place in Seoul. I didn't know much about Korean culture or mythology but that only made this book more interesting.

I don't say this often but I think this book could have been longer. There are two parts and it could have easily been cut in half and made into two different books. The ending of the first half felt like a typical ending of a book in a series. I was surprise that it was in the middle.

The story was captivating and the only flaw in my opinion was the writing style of the author. I didn't feel truly immersed in the story ever though I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading the second book though and maybe she improved there. :)

I had so much fun with this!! I loved the plot and the premise (this is the second book I've read about the fox lore in east Asia)!! I thought the characters were sweet, funny, and wholesome. my biggest issue is something in relation to the
romantic plot, it was insta-love and I hate that so was the reason the book didn't get 5 stars

This is a great first book and I’m excited to watch Kat Cho grow as an author. I’m proud to put this in my classroom!
