Not for me. Two beautiful, well-employed, bland people, with the self-awareness of rocks, fall in love. The descriptions of Copenhagen are lovely, though overshadowed with the idea that Hygge is morally superior. There’s a standard sex scene at the standard point of the way through (with standard consent and cellophane crinkle), then a standard stupid misunderstanding that causes them to fall out, a standard life epiphany, then a standard tearful reunion and standard HEA.

I was bored.

Also, I did not like Ben. Other than the abovementioned blandness and self-awareness issues, he was rude to Katie when she was a stranger. The way he talked to her on the phone, and how rude he was at Heathrow, were unprofessional and demeaning. There’s a one-liner apology but he didn’t grow from that. Katie was clear that she wanted him because he was hot, not because he’d suddenly become a nice person. Which is fine for a night, but not a relationship. I wouldn’t want to be with a person who chose to be someone else’s bad day.
