A creepy read made creepier from reading it from the perspective of an adult. A book about how we're all imperfect and how wanting to shun that can ruin us all.

I have no idea what I just read. But it dragged me right in and refused to let go nevertheless. I delayed my lunch break to finish this one up, in fact.

I had no idea what to expect about this book every time I turned the page. Had no idea it was middle-grade horror when I picked it up but knowing that now it definitely delivered.

I loved this book. Which is a surprise because it is WEIRD.

But it's really engrossingly written and the it has all this interesting commentary about disability and eugenics and also about fear.

Also wasps are SCARY.

Would 100% reccommend not just got middle grade readers, but adults as well! Especially scary as the parent of a young child.
