Inspired by my love for My Body by Em Rata and I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jeanette McCurdy - I’ve been exploring more female celebrity memoirs. I admire Beer’s voice, motivation, and goals for writing. This is an incredibly vulnerable memoir that explores her mental health journey. I did find the book to be a bit repetitive, and I wish Beer dove more into other aspects of her life beyond online scandals hate. This is a great memoir for YA readers to check out, ultimately I was not the target audience.

i love madison so much so this was very interesting to read, even though at some points it felt a little repetitive or surface level. i still did like the book alot and even balled my eyes out at some point, so its a solid 3/5 for me.

madison beer i love you i love you i love you. she wrote so clearly and it such a comforting way. the whole book felt like a hug. i loved the ‘dear madison’ segments mixed in with the numbered chapters. making the memoir quite short was also a good move cause it made it really engaging. i am so proud of her for sharing what she did and i think everyone should read this as it is riddled with important themes.
