Another geeky story about geniuses?! Sign me up!

Warning: most of this review is me geeking out about this awesome story and not saying anything substantial.

[b:The Only Thing Worse Than Me Is You|26114524|The Only Thing Worse Than Me Is You|Lily Anderson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1444317771s/26114524.jpg|46061362] quickly became one of my favorite books of 2018, and when I found out Lily Anderson had another book I grabbed it faster than Harry Potter can say expelliarmus! I honestly just had so much fun reading this book, and literally could not put it down; I finished it in one sitting (and almost forgot to eat dinner). The banter was witty and hilarious, the competition was crazy, the mystery was background enough, and the romance was adorable. Ever/Elliot as a main character was SO GOOD. She was just such a unique and relatable character, and she made the book what it was. I just adored her so much. The more unbelievable things - such as her family NEVER REALIZING THAT SHE LITERALLY RAN AWAY FROM HOME - can be overlooked because who cares. It's fun to read anyway! Another amazing element was the parallels to [b:The Importance of Being Earnest|92303|The Importance of Being Earnest|Oscar Wilde|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1298438452s/92303.jpg|649216], which is one of my favorite plays. It was such a great tie-in, and I enjoyed every little quote. Ah, a little Bunburying is good now and then!

Of course, the cherry on top was the inclusion of the og Mess kids in the story. I didn't even realize it was THE Brandon until a bit into the story, and then I got so excited because, duhhh, who doesn't love this kid? Trixie and Ben were as adorable as ever, and it reignited my fire to order the book on Amazon to have for myself. Because that book needs to be reread, and now that I think of it, so does this one!

If you're a geeky nerd who loves fun, easy books then just go read this book. What are you waiting for?
