Hilarious and heartfelt, with just as many "your body is never found" endings as the original series. Made me love NPH even more than I did in his Doogie days.

Despite the Choose Your Own Adventure format, this makes for a great audiobook. I'd just finished a data-heavy nonfiction audiobook on a road trip and needed a light palate cleanser for the return trip and this worked great. Actually, I think I might have enjoyed it more as an audiobook because with the print format I would have been jumping around trying to make sure I didn't miss anything, and with the audiobook I didn't have any decisions to make.

I loved NPH before reading this book and love him even more after. This was such a fun and unique way for him to tell his story.

Super fun read! Seriously, I loved the concept of choose your own adventure. Neil is also as funny in print as he is in real life. I especially loved how he does a card trick with you... In the book. Brilliant! I still need to read it again to take different paths. Easily my favorite memoir of all time.

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this book, particularly the sentimental parts. I really could have done without the whole skipping around the book, and ended up just reading it from start to finish. It was funny, sweet, and enlightening, although definitely not recommend for young readers.

This was an enjoyable novel, but I felt like it didn't go as in depth as I had hoped. This covered more of his life during stardom and his roles (which he was young when he became an actor). The novel was more about his acting career than his personal life though it was a fun book.
