I flew through this book and I actually read every page instead of reading it as a "choose your own adventure" book. I plan on rereading it and following the directions at the bottom of each page in the future. I loved hearing about Neil's life and it including so many things that I already knew about such as How I Met Your Mother, magic, and his Broadway shows. I also including insight into his life and different aspects of his career that you may not have known about. It was fascinating and I cannot wait to reread it.
This was everything I expected it to be and more. Impossible not to love NPH!
Someday we will be over our rediscovered love for Neil Patrick Harris.
Someday we will no longer think every single thing he does is awesome and magical.
Someday we will watch someone doing a shitty job at hosting the Oscars and not think "They should have gotten Neil Patrick Harris, he would have been awesome at this".
Not today though my friends.
Not today.
I expected this book to be witty. I expected it to be clever and fun. And it was. It was all of those things.
I could not have loved this more if I tried.

This is a clever, funny, insightful, and moving book. I chose it to fulfill a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' prompt in the 2019 Pop Sugar Challenge, mostly because I hate Choose you own adventure books and this seemed like the least offensive one I could find. And spoiler, I pretty much read it straight through. I did some flipping around, but I mostly cheated. And I don't feel like I missed out on any experience doing it that way. I still laughed, and learned, and most surprisingly, I cried. The last two segments of the book left me in tears. His love of his family is so deeply apparent, and so beautiful.
I've been a big fan of NPH for years, but now I love him more.

I think you know if you'll love this before you even start. It's NPH, it's choose your own adventure. You can't go wrong.
