Truly a 5 star book.

I actually laughed out loud! Would have given it 5 stars but too much Tony talk. Also, probably doesn't help that I chose not to read it as a choose-your-own adventure. But there are some perks to reading it cover to cover too, Kungaloosh!

Neil Patrick Harris is a fun guy that has passion for acting (stage, tv and movies), travel and magic. He shared his love of all three and discovering love and a growing family. His enthusiasm for his passions are contagious and this made for a fun commute.

I loved this book SO MUCH!!! I'm totally buying my own copy.
adventurous funny informative inspiring fast-paced

I'm more of a Choose Your Own Adventure fan than I am of Neil Patrick Harris. It was a fun book to listen to for sure! It was recommended for that purpose. Getting to know of Harris and his journey in his life was a great perk.

I enjoyed NPH's choose your own autobiography and the interesting twist it created. I listened in audiobook form which was actually quite enjoyable. While I don't necessarily agree with all of his lifestyle and choices he is a great story teller and an interesting person. Definitely enjoyed.

As funny as one might hope, this book gave me a look at the personal life of a very lucky and successful famous person without making me Hulk out with envy. Neil is so genuinely likeable and appreciative of his blessings that it made me glad to read about the good things that have happened to him.

What a delightful memoir. I loved this. I did listen to the audiobook, so I missed the "choose your own story" aspect of this. While that's a huge sell of this book, I feel the audiobook moments that wowed me really make it worth it. NPH narrates, obviously, but we also get audio pipped in from moments he speaks of, such as a rap he gave at the Tony's or a speech he presented when he won this award, etc. Those moments really bring this story to life for me. NPH also finds a way to share these moments he's experience in such an enthusiastic and joyful way. I love his personality and it shines through in his writing.

Oh. My. God.
I listened to this on audiobook, so I'm not sure how the set up is in physical form. But let me tell you, this book was off-the-wall amazing! NPH is a comedy god, or legend, in his words. The memoir is so much more than I expected it to be. I was ready for life lessons on being gay, being on a hit TV show, and being in the public eye. And I did get those things, but I have gained so much more from this book.
Harris does an excellent job at making reading fun. His voice, his style, and the stories that he has to tell are fantastic and welcoming to everyone. You don't have to be familiar with his work or his personal life to appreciate the magic that he describes. He does a pretty good job of giving a full-over description of his life without you having to run to Wikipedia to know what he is talking about.
I don't want to divulge too much because you just need to read this and have your own fun doing so, but I will tell you that every second is completely worth it. Mostly he will make you laugh, but also cry and giggle and pout. The celebrity world is an interesting place, and he is certainly one of the most interesting guys to tell about it.
Go and read this, I promise you will not be disappointed!
