A varied life story told humorously and seemingly honestly. I did run into some confusion with all the names mentioned - I wasn't always sure if I was supposed to recognize a name or remember it from an earlier anecdote.

The actual story was good but I found the choose your own adventure format not to be great on the kindle. Wish I had read it in actual book format.

Unsurprisingly, this was a really enjoyable audiobook (read by Neil Patrick Harris).

Absolutely hilarious RIDICULOUSLY hilarious. I laughed so much--I liked that he was writing comedy even more than he was writing a memoir. Thanks, Brenda!

I love NPH and I know he wanted to set up in a quirky way but sometimes the choose your adventure format was a little annoying.

In which Neil Patrick Harris thinks he's funny, the twist being that I used to think so too. I liked NPH before listening to this and I'm sure I'll like him after, but I found this insufferable… He's really glad he's not a sandwich maker with ugly kids… I think if I'd tried the print edition I'd've ended up breaking things or just given up.

HALARIOUSSS - In a NPH voice.
Books rarely make me laugh or even smirk, but I was full on giggling in a subway(!) listening to the audiobook. Ah, I adore this man. His passion for what he does and his love for his family is the cutest and most inspiring thing.

I hated this book. Genuinely hated it, and I'm so disappointed. I hated the format, I hated the tone, I hated the writing, I hated not being able to tell fact from fiction. Essentially I hated everything about this book. I love NPH, but this book is going straight to the charity shop.

Choose your own autobiography is modeled after the choose your own adventure books. In the audiobook version your path is chosen for you regardless of what format you read you end up hearing the whole book. If you are a NPH fan I highly recommend the audio version as it is read by him and adds to the charm

I listened to the Audio version of this book read by the author himself.
It was an interesting listen and having the author as narrator is always fun - especially in a memoir/autobiography.
