I rarely say this but the heroine needed to keep it in her pants. Two jobs in a row where she hooked up with dudes she wasn’t supposed to. Don’t fish off the company pier. Don’t shit where you eat. Etc. etc.
The plot annoyed me because it seemed like there were numerous ways the issue could have been resolved. But I also enjoyed the drama so

I enjoyed the book.

It was nice, the only thing that bothered me was that it always have to the the woman giving her career up. Alejo was portrayed to be one of the very best, he could have tried another route before expecting Thalia to give her life up for him, and even though he was miserable he never ever thought about giving up, whilst she just quit.

I just change the star from 3 to 2 in this one. The more i think about it, there is just a lot that i didnt like and here is why.

I kind like it at the start, but it was a little bit boring in the start, i was just waiting for it to start and build up, and then Alejo got hurt and the whole thing started. I just personlige didnt get it, i feel like they moved to fast.

description
I feel like there where no deep conversation, and then all of sudden they are into each other and the connection was there, but its like how and why are they all of sudden important to each orther? Specific Alejo fell fast, it was just like he was 100% in it the realtionship, and i feel like we didnt get that build up from him, he just went "i see her, i want her, i got her". AND when he fucked up

description
When he got jalouse and hurt the orther player, it was so stupid, and i feel like he had the oppurtinety to show her that he was mature and he didnt take it, it was stupid and made no sense. All of sudden he take a stupid chance that could ruined his career, just because he is jaloux, a career that support his family and that he worked hard for, just because she is looking at her ex. Tell me why?

description
I feel like that the writer could have given Alejo more dept, be choose not to. And the whole idea with the book is, one she is older than him, and they work together. AND when he did that, he just proven to everybody why that realtionship didnt work. That scene made no sense for me, and it was just there to create chaos and drama, and that is what it did. I also didnt like the chance they took, when they were together.

They did it a work, at a party where there was a lot of people, they went on trip together, and they weren´t trying to it hid as much as i would like. This whole "its a secret", it just seem like they did the minimal to keep it a secret.

What i also didnt get was when she quit her work, why would she do that, i was just thinking to my self.

SHE finally got a job that she adore, she threw her whole career away for her ex husband, and here we are thinking "she has growth, she wont do that again", then she turned around, break up with the boyfriend and the LEAVE the job, for what? Just because she couldn't work with him? She is supposed to be the mature because of her age, but also because of her storie. IT just show me that she didnt growth, she didnt learned, and it was childless behaviour and made no sense for me. I do understand that it did give her the oppertunity to talk things through with her ex, and talk about what went wrong and him appologize, but that whole thing, didnt have to be so messy. It could have been done it a more simple easy way. Because then in the end she just got her job back, i dont think it realistik at all.

AND the best friends, who doesnt support her career, or her divorce, and doesnt know any boundrais, why where she there? Every time she show up in the book, i was just thinking to my self this is not going to go well.

I loved this so much!! Alejo was everything I wanted and more. The romance was amazing. I love Karina Halle!

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

I am big football fan. I watch MLS. On weekend mornings you can find me watching Premier league games. If there is a tournament on, I will watch. Men's World Cup. Women's World Cup. UEFA Champions League. I. LOVE. IT. So when Karina originally announced this book, I got extremely excited. It sounded like the perfect book for me. And you know what? It was.

Thalia taking the job at Real Madrid was all about starting over. She needed to get away from her life in Manchester and taking a job in a whole other country seemed like the perfect way to do that. Of course, meeting Alejo was something she never expected to happen, but it sure did make for a phenomenal story.

It didn't take Alejo or Thalia long to realize that what they had was special. From the first moment they met, they felt a connection that they were unable to ignore. They connected on a deeper level that took them both by surprise. I mean, what could a 40 year old woman and a 24 year old have in common? A lot, actually.

Alejo might be the perfect book boyfriend. Yes, he was much younger than Thalia, but he seemed much older and wiser than his 24 years. He was charming, funny and romance just oozed out of his pores. Thalia put up a good fight, but she couldn't resist him Alejo. And I don't blame her one bit.

OMG y'all. I don't think I can put into words how I feel about this story. I loved everything about it. This book is definitely one of the best I've read this year. The location, the football scenes, the characters, the forbidden aspect of Thalia and Alejo's relationship, the friendships (well, most of them) and the idea that the team was not just a team, but a family, made for a wonderful story. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me feel like my heart was going to burst with happiness. I felt all the emotions and I didn't want it to end. This will definitely be one of the books that I will be reading over and over again for years to come.

This was good! I definitely learned about european soccer as well as the physical therapists the teams employ! You could tell the author did her research. The writing was great and actually made me want to visit spain. The romance part entertained me but I didn’t like the back and forth
