I loved this so much, and really relate to Abby a lot... i REALLY recommend it

3.5 rounded down

This was the teenagerist of YAs down to the audiobook's narrators. So while I'm a bit too far removed from that age to really feel it I could see why actual teens might. In fact, most of the things that bugged me could be linked to "gah, being a teenager was so dramatic" which isn't an actual negative. I really disliked Abby's mom but surprisingly I came to love Jax.

Jordi and Abby - artsy summer intern coworkers from different high school crowds - are the stars of this predictably cheesy yet sweet romance. Extra star for how girl-girl love is mostly a non-issue so that teenage angst can be the main story.

Loved the positive fat rep and the lesbian rom com story line. Abby was such a fresh, fun character and I loved her style and her relationship with Jax.

omg this was so adorable

Veeeeeeery "YA" in that nothing happens except stupid teen drama and brain-rambling but at least it's gay and bopo stupid teen rambling?

This was so dang cute!! 💖

This summer I have called myself out on having a list of books I started reading but have set aside because the list is ridiculously long. I am trying to finish up books I either started and didn't finish or have just had on my to read shelf for a While.

This book was a really dang cute YA rom-com. I read a chapter or two in March, but when I picked this back up I ended up finishing it within two days. I'm glad I finished reading this, it was a fun and sugary sweet short read.

This was such a good book! I really like the author's writing style, and the characters are relatable! I love the blog aspects of the book, as well as the burger aspect. This is such an LA book.

mmm.......i just don't think i care about fashion enough to really get into this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Sweet summer romance between a girl who is convinced that she's meant/doomed to be the sidekick in someone else's movie, and the coworker she has to compete with for a job. Lots of predictability, but that's why I picked up a romance to read: for the crush, the first date, the overblown misunderstanding quickly followed by a happy ending. I wanted a book with a happy ending. Bonus that this wasn’t a coming out book, and only one parent of four seemed to have even the slightest reservations about their daughter being queer. I call it a win.
