WHY LEIGH BARDUGO? WHY? I am so heartbroken by this conclusion to the duology. I found myself way more engrossed in this plot than that of Shadow and Bone. This book in particular was great because there was constantly new jobs being done
that all came together in the end in one magnificent explosion of chaos. Also, Matthias' death is something I will never get over. I literally cried during reading as well as later when I thought about it again. That was devastating and cruel ugh.
I am excited to continue on with King of Scars, and I hope it becomes a sort of culmination of all of the questions I've been left with thus far.

Even better than the first book! I absolutely loved this book and I’m really hoping there’s a third one. I feel like it ended on a really good note but I’m gonna miss not reading about the crows if there isn’t another book. I love how this book dived more into the characters thoughts and their relationships with eachother, it made me feel even closer to them and felt like I was watching these events right in front of me.

This book makes me feral. This book produces so much emotions in me and the twists are unexpected but reasonable.

I loved this follow-up to Six of Crows. Although the story slowed a bit towards the last 150 pages (which isn't unusual for 500-paged-books), the book still kept me on the edge of my seat. I'll definitely be reading King of Scars next, since there was a little snippet of it in the book.

I have to say that I think Kaz has made wonderful character develpoment throughout the duology. Also, I love Bardugo's choice to not let the relationship with Inej suddenly physically develop. This shows that Kaz' trauma (and Inej's as well) isn't something they can both just ignore. The tension between them is honestly perfection and you can see how much he cares about her, even though he's still the crookiest crook to have ever crooked.
