A beautiful but hard read, not shying away from the strongest emotions of grief. Interesting characters with depth, not always likeable but with a reason. I didn’t enjoy this as much as Kristen Hannah’s nightingale and the women but I do love her writing style and certainly found it a page turner. Would read more by her for sure!

This is the same author who wrote The Nightingale?!?!?! Horribly trite, dribble. I wish I had been warned that it was a young adult book that you don’t want impressionable young adults to read. One of only a handful of books that I absolutely would not finish.
