Honestly, this is one of the best series I've read. The confessions of love and words of devotion exchanged by these characters is top tier. Maven was such a delight throughout the whole series. I loved her and Crypt's dark sense of humor and just the humor in general in this series. The sex scenes were HOT and the action was thrilling. I loved these characters and their story so much, and I'm going to miss them. ❤️

I'm giving the entire series a 5⭐ rating over all.

For a reverse harem this series ranks with the best of the genre.  The MMC is fantastic and truly kick ass.   I admit I had this marked as a DNF to start with as I thought the book was heading in a different direction with a MMC that would spend her time running from her fate for books just to create a fake sense of yearning and slow burn.  But instead there is enough of a story to leave that sentiment in the dust

And this was a great 4 books of story that doesn't waste any time before the next plot point.

The four MMCs are given enough time to develop and while they fit the typical RH archetypes I can't complain when that is the reason I read these books.

Sometimes the last book of a series can be a disappointment or too rushed but I felt this book did not falter in its pacing or content.

If there is anything I would complain about is that I love my HEA epilogues with babies and toddlers.  But apparently this is a hated and unpopular trope and is usually avoided so I can't fault a writer for not including it.  I will have to just pretend that there are cute little dragons and fae casters and incubus and elementals running around.

Such a good conclusion to this series!!! This was the perfect mix of everything I loved about the first three books, nothing felt rushed and I appreciated every moment with these characters. (Crypt Delune you will be missed!!!)

This was my least favorite. There was so much potential but it just dragged in the 2nd part. At some point I think the author forgot Maven had lost memories to get back because at one point they stopped happening then at the end she goes back to paradise and figures out the blood oath because she gets all her memories back being there. There was so much potential to have this be part of the plot! Wasted.

I didn’t like how we weren’t part of the actual strategizing. We figure out their plans as it’s happening. I would have preferred those scenes over the constant gushing of how hot everyone is or the spice. The 2nd half is all about ending Amadeus but it didn’t feel like it was that important because it took forever to get there - unnecessarily.

I liked her hunting down the guys in the first half and I thought it was comedic with them all living with the curses again. Silas and his crazy head was so funny.

Reflecting on the two major events of this book - getting her real heart back and killing Amadeus - these two moments happened so quickly and easily. Even what happens to Everett has so little emotional impact because it was conveniently fixed in a blink of an eye. Why bother doing that at all?

I wanted more depth with the quintet in this book. She comes back and she saves the guys from themselves. And she still couldn’t even say she loves them freely until the very end. She had no growth or change until losing Lillian and stopped being so self sacrificing. I wanted her to lean into the humanity she lost. To recognize risking herself hurt the guys. I wanted the connections with the guys to be MORE. It was still very sexually driven and relying on fated bonds to drive home their love and connection. I wanted more moments where they connect outside of the bedroom.
