I don't understand why people like this book so much. It's not good. Its ableist, racist, and sexist themes have aged like MILK and so has this book.

This book is one of the most depressing things I've ever had to read, but it's incredible.

This is a beautiful book. I read it years ago and loved it then - I need to re-read it someday down the road.

How did the author engross me into this time period, allow me to form an attachment to these two men, and then crush my heart? All within 110 pages?? His brilliant writing, heartwarming connection, and honest conversations.
