Such a fun book. I love Hannah's positivity and I think I liked this even more than the first book.

I wanted to read this book as I absolutely loved It Happened One Summer, it was the first book of Tessa Bailey’s I read and I was hooked, so obviously I wanted to read Hannah and Fox’s story and I don’t usually like friends to lovers, but this was just too cute.

This book had two points of view, the first one is Fox Thornton, and he is a fisherman that has a reputation as a sexy, carefree flirt. Everyone knows he’s a guaranteed good time – in bed and out – and that’s exactly how he likes it. This is until he meets Hannah Bellinger. She is immune to his charm and looks, but she seems to enjoy his personality and she wants to be friends. However, Fox wants more than friendship, but he doesn’t want to risk it. The second point of view is Hannah Bellinger, we met her in the first book, and she is the younger sister of Piper. Hannah is wanting to make her mark in the music and movie industry, and she is hoping this is her chance. She has managed to convince the director – to whom she is crushing on hard – to film his new project in Westport. She's excited to see Fox again, since Hannah is crashing in his guest room, but they are just friends . . . right? The more time she spends with Fox, the more she wants him instead of the director. As the line between friendship and flirtation begins to blur, Hannah can’t deny she loved everything about Fox, but she refuses to be another notch on this bedpost.

I love this book, I thought it was complex yet such an easy, fun read. I loved coming back to Westport and would love to go and see it myself. Throughout the whole book, all I wanted to do was hug Fox – that man was packed with trauma with a capital T. I really like seeing his character development from “I’m not settling down” to “I want to get marry and have babies with her” and I just love how he tried to go above and beyond for Hannah. I just love him. Hannah is a leading lady and she needs to believe in it more. I just loved the fact that she didn’t give up on Fox but at the same time wasn’t making easy for Fox to show her that he was worth it.
I want more of this book, I want a whole book based on that cute ass epilogue. Tessa Bailey, you cannot leave us hanging like this. I would love a book each to do with the nieces in the book trying to navigate their own way in the world.

Much preferred this one to its predecessor although it was a bit repetitive. The themes were better developed (breaking the mould of expectations, toxic masculinity,) even the characters were more believable. The sex scenes were fewer but served the story better and weren't cringe-worthy.

Not sure if I’m just in a slump, but this book was cute but definitely not amazing. I preferred Hannah and Fox to Piper and Brendan, but still felt like something fell short. The epilogue however, was super sweet.

Mostly lighthearted and fun. Some of it was a little too unrealistic for me, but overall it was enjoyable

This was cute but I did roll my eyes quite a bit. Everything just ended up perfectly which was a bit nauseating, to be honest. And parts were just over the top. The narrator was great and it was fun and plenty steamy! I don't really care for slow burn though.
