This series continues to get better and better. This volume finishes off the small arc with the envoys and begins a new arc that feels like it will have political ramifications regarding the emperor. It finishes up with questions still unanswered and I hate to have to wait for the next volume. Maomao is a standout character and I appreciate her subtle character development throughout the series.
