Dragons of Destiny is book one in C.R. Robertson’s The Gaian Otherworld series. This is a fantastic paranormal/fantasy romance novel. The balance of the world is shifting and things are changing. Danger is coming and destruction is at hand. Light and dark fae aren’t meant to mix, but love knows no restraint as is told in this story. Allura is a light fae, but she’s more than that. When she crosses paths with Ruben her life changes. It is initially just meant to be them working together to hunt down a monster who has broken free of its prison, but Fate has determined that they are meant to be together.
Dragons of Destiny is a wonderfully written story of “star-crossed” lovers. Allura is deemed too old by her people to have a mate, so when she discovers that Ruben is hers she doesn’t dare hope that it can last. But they have other problems as well. Krakens. One has broken free from its prison and they all know how the Krakens survive…devouring innocent humans. The backstory/creation of the world story that the author gives the reader, in the beginning, hooked me and I was eager for more. Allura and Ruben’s story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. The romance is balanced with the danger that they face from within and without. I have to admit that I truly enjoyed the twists and surprises that the author throws into the story.
There isn’t much that I don’t like about this story. The characters are well done. I enjoy the twists and unexpected moments throughout. I’m looking forward to reading the next phase of this story and to see what happens next.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. This is a well-done story, sweeping romance, secrets, surprises, and edge of your seat drama.

This IS a great novel and CR ROBERTSON is an amazing storyteller. I am in awe at her ability to pull us into another world with her descriptive magic. I don't know how she fits so many characters, worlds and storylines into a book this size. Most authors would split this into two, l am very thankful she doesn't, l love a book that takes days to read. This story just captured me, the people, emotions, good and evil and those in between. I even fell in love with a character from hell. Look.. l cannot recomend this enough. 5 stars from me.🤓💥💥💥💥💥
