Ends in a Cliffhanger

This was a good read. I enjoyed the characters. I wished there a little more depth to them. However I was still invested in their story.

Flame is the perfect title picked for this book! While it starts out HOT, the story is truly a slow burn. Gigi is in Daytona for bike week during her spring break. She hooks up with Pike, an alpha, overprotective, hot, inked man and figures, a week of fun,and she will disappear with some great memories. Now graduated and ready to start in her family tattoo business, she shows up for her first day, and who is also there? I cannot tell you how much fun this book is. There is witty banter between Pike and Gigi and a chemistry that pulls them together. But it is it enough to bring them back together? Bliss writes with passion, and I love the family vibe she brings into her book. It has the perfect balance of relationship building, family drama without the angst and a little suspense. I loved this mix and can't wait to see what she has in store for book 2!

Give me a book narrated by Jason Clarke, and I am a happy camper. He has a very relaxed sound when he narrates, and no matter the character, is able to find the stride to make him his own. This is my first Samantha Brentmoor performance, and I enjoyed her voice. She gave Gigi that overconfident, spunky attitude and let me love her as she adjusts to her new life. The two complimented each other well and the performance was hours of entertainment.

DNF at 15%..
I don’t like it when the first few chapters the main characters hook up.. it also had/has a lot more cuss words than what I’m used to. This was the first book I’ve read from this author, I might try again and read another and see how it goes..

3.5 stars Of HOT BIKER HOTNESS

So Flame...interesting name! Love the meaning behind it. She's trouble. He's trouble. They are combustible together and we wouldnt want it any other way.

My first Chelle Bliss book had to be a cliffhanger. Sigh, I'm too inpatient for cliffhangers. Luckily, the series is well under way before I stumbled upon it.

I was so excited to read this book. I follow Chelle on Facebook and ever since she said she was writing about Gigi, I was waiting on tenderhooks and let me tell you, Chelle did not disappoint! The ending left in a cliffhanger, I can not wait for the second book and the rest of the Gallo kids. If you haven't read any of the Gallo's you need to start. You are missing something great!

My first book by Chelle Bliss but you can feel the depth and quality of the world building in all the characters so I'll definitely be reading her other series.

Really enjoyed this. Pike is a compelling main character with loner tendancies but he's very personable and caring too. I liked Gigi's sass and fire though occasionally she seemed a bit childish even for a 21 year old just out of college.

There's some suspense and action (but nothing too dark), some pretty hot moments between Pike and Gigi, and plenty of family drama. There were a lot of side characters to try and keep track of (probably much easier if you'd read the Men of Inked series first) and it did feel a bit like this book was an attempt to introduce us to everyone in the Gallo family in one go. The story ends on a cliffhanger, though probably one you could live without following up on.

Overall this was a page-turning read which kept me hooked and I really enjoyed the whole world Chelle Bliss has created.

Gigi and Pike had me smiling so wide during their Daytona days, gosh, that was fun.

This book was riveting, funny, full of suspense and the tension was thick. There was plenty of drama, lots of love, as well as a healthy amount of character loathing on my part - how someone like Pike was surrounded by so much trouble absolutely stumped me.

I’m definitely looking forward to listening to more of this series, Samantha and Jason absolutely nailed the audio.
