Wow. My first book by this author and it will not be my last. Great characters and plot. I appreciated the psychological issues involved and the chess metaphor.
Highly recommend.

I thought about giving up on this book at various points. 25% 49% 71% and even at 96% because that's how disappointing it was. Ultimately I finished because it was an audiobook playing while I was occupied, and I didn't have anything else available.

There is more to the plot than just the romance.
