Where are all these rave reviews coming from I swear did we read the same book,,, None of the side plot threads came together and the reveal was superficial and cheap. The first part of the book was sufficiently spooky, but then the plot is so slow and reveals come out of nowhere. Her brother in law being infatuated w her? Mark's whole character is irrelevant, Laura /booklover101 even less so. The themes around privacy/social media are never actually fully explored or realised considering who the intruder ends up being. The epilogue is abrupt and out of place. You're telling me Flynn couldn't come to terms w the big initial lie to the point they were getting a divorce, but was perfectly fine after this whole situation?! Pass.

I was recommended this book on the basis I love these stories, and she was not wrong. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout this book, constantly questioning whether I was on the right track in my thinking while trying to unpick the tale.
Ultimately I was outsmarted on one outcome, but I’d managed to work out another aspect, but it did not ruin this book for me! Brilliant, unnerving and thrilling.

I was excited to start this after reading the reviews but was very disappointed by it. I found the characters to be unlikable and the plot to be messy. It’s as if there was a lot of random ideas just thrown together and I couldn’t invest properly into it.

This is the second Lucy Clarke book I've read and it was amazing!! I was hooked from the very beginning all the way through to the end!!
Clarke writes in a way that keeps you reading, the story she told was so clever, and I am a fan of the twists and turns the book took!!

I loved this book, it had me gripped and I didn’t want to put it down because I had to find out what happened and how the story ended. Great book!
Pretty good and catching but not my favourite book of the author
I had pretty high hopes for this after reading some rave reviews but it just didn’t live up to my expectations. I think I expect a lot from a thriller because it’s rare that I rate them higher than 3 stars.
At first, I was completely hooked. I thought it was super creepy and couldn’t wait to find out who was breaking into the house. It became quite repetitive after a while though and by the time it was revealed, I’d lost interest.
That being said, the revelation was satisfying and I would recommend if you’re after a quick audiobook to keep you hooked, but not change your life.
