Loved it. Really though provoking and full of suspense.
I was recommended this book on the basis I love these stories, and she was not wrong. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout this book, constantly questioning whether I was on the right track in my thinking while trying to unpick the tale.
Ultimately I was outsmarted on one outcome, but I’d managed to work out another aspect, but it did not ruin this book for me! Brilliant, unnerving and thrilling.

It was good but not as creepy and thrilling as I thought it would be. In fact, it was rather slow overall. Not a big fan of the writing or the characters and the twists weren't much of a surprise—I pretty much almost guessed all of them.
The premise was good but the execution could've been better in my opinion. What made the book more enjoyable was that I got to buddy read it with Beth!

Trigger warnings: blood, stalking, cheating, death of a parent (in the past), .
I bought this book on a whim for like $1.49, so obviously I was somewhat sceptical about the quality of story I was going to get. So colour me surprised when this was a tense, fast-paced, and utterly gripping story. It kept me guessing from start to finish, and I actually really enjoyed the juxtaposition of Elle's stress over the creepy things that are happening in her life and her stress over her impending deadline.
So I definitely got my money's worth out of this one, and I'll be looking into more books by Lucy Clarke in the future!

Wow what a story. This book is so so creepy at times I felt like I was there in that house going through all the scary things that were happening. The author built up the tension perfectly and all the way through there was a wonderful tense atmosphere. Once or twice I had to stop reading because it felt so real.
I’ve been a huge fan of Lucy Clarke ever since her first novel came out and I’m so pleased to say that You Let Me In lived up to my very high expectations! Elle is feeling increasingly unsettled in her home ever since she rented it out when she was away. She can’t put her finger on what’s wrong but something just doesn’t feel right. The tension in this book keeps ratcheting up to the point where you can’t be sure if Elle is having a breakdown, or if she is right to be worried and that someone is out to get her. There are a few people who may have it in for her and so you’re kept on your toes all the way through this novel. I was sure I had it all worked out but I was wrong and the reveal when it comes is shocking! I definitely recommend this one!

I would give this book 3.5 stars if given the option.
What I enjoyed about this book was that it was easy to read, a page turner that enabled me to read it in a couple of days. I enjoyed Elle's character progression in the main story, and trying to figure out who had been terrorizing her since her Airbnb rental and how the story was going to resolve. I also enjoyed the variety of other characters, though at times the story felt a bit cluttered with others - especially during the book club, when this was the only time certain characters were mentioned. The setting was beautifully described, and I found myself able to picture most of the scenes described, though some of them were beyond my reach, as is bound to happen in any novel.
I found that Clarke used a lot of the same themes and even words throughout the novel, which got annoying. For example, she used the word vertiginous at least three times, and at least once in a way that I thought was odd, but that may just be me. There was another either word or theme used repeatedly throughout, but I am unable to remember it which I think speaks to its lack of effectiveness.
I found that the pace of the story was quite slow as well, to the point of frustration as the threads didn't come together until the last few chapters, and the ending felt incredibly rushed. I was glad to finally see the story resolved at the end, but I felt disappointed with the urgency of the ending.
