I really liked this book! As an essay collection, it is remarkable how evenly good it is. There were very few essays that I liked less than others, and only a few that were notably better. I especially liked "Loving Annie Hayworth," though.

This is such a great read on the intersections of horror movies and queerness. There are a variety of stories and I look forward to the authors continuing to beach out more.

Absolutely loved this, I listened to this and the variety of voice actors was fantastic! Although I preferred some over others, and same with the chapters.

Favourites include:

A demon girls guide to life
Imprint
Indescribable
Three men on a boat
The wolf mans daughter
Loving Annie Hayworth (fave!)
Centred and seen
Sight unseen
Bad hombre
Black body snatchers
Long nights in the dark
On beauty and necrosis

Such a fun mix of short essays about being queer and horror movies. It is so fun to look at these movies through a queer lens and how they had an affect on different people.

An awesome collection. I learned a lot and felt a lot with all of these essays. As someone who isn't big on horror, I've come out on the other side with a new appreciation and a new lens. I enjoyed all of the essays, but my favorites were "Both Ways" by Carmen Maria Machado, "Indescribable" by Carrow Narby, and "The Trail of His Flames" by Tucker Lieberman.
