VRC #9. I really struggled with this one. It was hard to read because of all of the violence within it. It was well written though which made it a quick read! I hated the ending though, and wished a lot had been different in the ending.

This was definitely a really good book for younger teens. I think it’s really important for kids who experience domestic abuse or poverty to read about other kids who share their experiences. And for kids who don’t have those experiences to learn about people in other circumstances. It’s easy to understand the message but isn’t over explained
