Ok this is good! This is my second favorite in the series so far! Amy Starr is an undercover cop infiltrating a crime ring in a dystopian world. This novella is chalk full of character, gore, surprises, and world building. Muir packs a punch in less than 60 pages. Although it falls a little short character development wise and leaves a little confusion about the world/environment (when/where/how etc.) the content we are given is creative and engaging. Definitely a solid 60 page read!
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Animal death, Body horror, Confinement, Cursing, Death, Gore, Gun violence, Slavery, Violence, Blood, Medical content, Kidnapping, Grief, Murder, Toxic friendship, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail, Classism, and Pandemic/Epidemic
