A powerful post-environmental collapse graphic novel. Basically, a group of mailmen (and women?) ride around on bicycles and in full hazmat suits to deliver letters by mouth through the air vents of people's bomb shelters deep underground. The letters they read are stories of excess and regret and some are just strange. The author is Georges Blondeaux (GeBe), famed editor of Hara-Kiri, the French satire magazine, also related to Charlie Hebdo.

Check it out. It's a quick read and, while it doesn't feel like a full thought, it feels like part of a thought worth having.

Okay, so it was a fast read. I liked the premise and I liked the art, but it just seemed? pointless? Like, I can tell there was an intended greater meaning at the end but it was just bleh. Nothing impressive. I would have liked it more if the stories had more of an apparent and less veiled meaning (so veiled I still don't quite understand?).

Interesting book, felt mostly like illustrated prose to me however. You’d have two panels and then have a wall of text to the side, but I don’t think it exceeded 4 panels a page. Anyways, it’s a good read. I liked the structure of it, each chapter has a different story being read to a family living in a bunker. We see their reactions to it and we see the mailman that has to read it. Pretty cool premise, just left me a bit empty? I didn’t get as much out of it as I wanted.
