For the Steve Cavanagh fans out there, you will pleased to know that I have come out from underneath my rock and have finally read one of his books! In the past, I would never had dreamed of reading a series without starting book one, let alone start at book five, but since starting my blog I have realised that I have been missing out on some great books, so now when I come across a book that grabs my attention no matter where it is in the series, I will read it!

I don't read a lot of mystery. Not because I don't like it; it's just not what I usually turn to. But this one had such an interesting premise that I just had to read it and I was not disappointed. I typically like being surprised by the ending of a mystery, but when it's literally fifty/fifty (hehe), it's more about the journey to the end. And that journey was fascinating and full of twists and turns. Cavanagh does an excellent job of truly making it seem like it could have been either sister. And despite not being surprised by the ending, I still found it very satisfying.

Thank you to Libro.fm and Simon & Schuster Audio for the ALC.

Throw away the recipt. I’m buying it

Characters were engaging, audiobook was excellent. Pacing of the story was just right, trial coverage was interesting, kept you doubting til the end who the real killer was. Loved the ending for Kate.
emotional mysterious

I was lucky to get early access to this book, and I’m grateful I did. I was hooked right away at the beginning. I had an inkling of where the story was going to go, but that ending….wow.

Even though this story was about two sisters each accusing the other of murder, my favorite characters were the two attorneys working for them. Loved them and their chemistry.
