Such a fast-paced thriller and the depiction of law and the courtroom was great. The whole book I thought it was one sister but constantly questioned which one did it (which means it was a great book), and ultimately was shocked by the twist. I also liked how it had a touch of romance and you learned more about the characters outside of the courtroom instead of just the trial itself. I feel like everything was pieced together nicely (inside and outside the courtroom) and there were no plot holes. I don’t know how to explain it, but the author did a great job of swaying the reader emotionally to keep them guessing. Multiple POVs were interesting too, the characters and writing were great!! 5/5

What an amazing concept! My mind was buzzing the entire time trying to figure out whodunnit. Cavanagh drops so many little hints and clues, but just when you think you have the upper hand, he drops another tidbit that changes your mind. I had no idea who the killer was until the reveal.
I loved the structure of this book - we got chapters from Eddie’s perspective, Kate, the other lawyers, perspective, and “She”. The She chapters are where most of the hints can be found, but Cavanagh makes sure it’s impossible to guess the real murderer.
When Eddie and Kate finally started to put the pieces together I was rooting for them so hard, even though I knew I would be heartbroken to know who the killer was because the entire time I both hated and felt for both sisters! When the clues all finally came together… man, was it satisfying.
My only gripe was where did the killer learn to ride and kill with such precision on a motorcycle?! Steve, I need some backstory here!
This is the fifth novel in Cavanagh’s Eddie Flynn Series, but you don’t need to have read the first four to read this one.

The best thriller I’ve read in a while.
3.75
this was very captivating. i really appreciate how this can be read as a standalone bc i had no clue it was a part of a series (now im gonna go to the beginning 🏃♀️). i like that the true killer was indeed one of the sisters, and there wasn't some other outside twist. overall, a really enjoyable read. kept me guessing on the killer, and all the pov's had relevance without taking away from the story
